Our Dashboard Delivery feature lets you automatically send refreshed Salesforce Lightning Dashboards to employees, partners, or customers—right from Salesforce! Whether you want to share KPIs, progress charts, or performance snapshots, Dashboard Delivery makes it easy to keep everyone aligned without requiring logins or extra steps.
✨ What Is Supported
✅ Lightning Dashboards are supported.
❌ Classic Dashboards are not supported. If you’d like help migrating a classic dashboard to Lightning, contact us; we're happy to assist.
🔁 Dashboard Refresh and Timing
Each dashboard is refreshed before it's sent. This ensures recipients always get the most current data—but it also means:
The dashboard may arrive a few minutes after the scheduled time.
The exact send time depends on how long it takes to complete the dashboard refresh in Salesforce.
✅ Try Different Widths
The width setting affects how your dashboard is rendered, especially if you have images or text that may be cut off at certain sizes.
Try several options using the Preview button to send yourself a test email.
The height is automatically set based on the width and the number of components.
🌐 IP Restrictions
If your Salesforce org uses IP Restrictions:
You may need to relax restrictions on the CloudAnswers App to allow Dashboard Delivery to work properly.
Follow the steps in this article:
👉 Relaxing IP Restrictions for Report Sender
🌎 Data Residency & Privacy
Dashboard Delivery is powered by our secure Heroku-based service in the United States.
📸 Your dashboard data is not stored on Heroku. It is only used temporarily to take a screenshot and send it back to Salesforce.
❗ We do not recommend using this feature for dashboards that contain data restricted by non-US data residency requirements.
📎 Adding Dashboard Links
If you're sending dashboards to recipients who have Salesforce access:
📍Include a direct link to the dashboard in your message body.
This allows users to:
Click through for interactive exploration
Access underlying reports behind the metrics
📄 Including Additional Report Data
Currently:
Dashboard Delivery does not support including extra report data alongside the dashboard image.
However, you can use our Report Sender feature to schedule separate emails with reports as needed.
