Are you getting "A Component Error has occurred!" while using CloudAnswers Report Sender?

Updated over a year ago

Note: With the release of Report Sender v1.73, disabling Lightning Web Security is no longer needed.

In Spring'23 release, Salesforce enabled Lightning Web Security automatically in these types of Orgs:

  1. New orgs

  2. Scratch orgs

  3. Sandbox orgs

  4. Production orgs that don't contain LWC or Aura components

  5. Production orgs that contain LWC components, but don't contain Aura components, if LWS for LWC was enabled in Winter '23

We have found an issue with CloudAnswers Report Sender when Lightning Web Security is turned on. You might see following error when loading the CloudAnswers Report Sender app or you might not see this error message and the app just notice the app is not usable for e.g. the New Schedule button is missing, Toggle button to Activate Report Sender is disabled. All this is happening due to Lightning Web Security enforcement which is causing some issues with the app.

We have identified this issue and are actively working on fixing it. In the meantime, you can disable Lightning Web Security by going to Setup > Session Settings > Lightning Web Security and uncheck the following setting:

Once this setting is unchecked, "Save" the settings. Go to the CloudAnswers Report Sender app, refresh the page and the app should start working as expected.

If this does not fix it immediately, please try a hard refresh or clear your browser cache:

How to do a hard refresh:

  1. Chrome, on Windows: Hold down Ctrl and click the Reload button.

  2. Chrome, on Mac: Hold down Shift and click the Reload button.

  3. Firefox, on Windows: Hold down Ctrl, Shift and the β€˜R’ key.

  4. Firefox, on Mac: Hold down Shift and press the reload button.

  5. Safari: Hold down the option and command key then press the β€˜E’ key.
