Enable ReportSender for users in IP-restricted profiles

This article is for admins in orgs that have IP restrictions on profiles.

The CloudAnswers ReportSender app runs entirely inside your org to ensure data is secure and under your control. However, IP restrictions on profiles will block the app from sending the report as a user when the user is not actively logged in.

To resolve this, you will need to add a trust to our "Connected App" which is used as part of the app. This task takes less than 5 minutes to complete and only needs to be done once.

Step 1 of 4: Open setup and navigate to "Connected App OAuth Usage"

Step 2 of 4: Find our connected app ("CloudAnswers ReportSender" or "CloudAnswers PowerPack") and click the install button

Step 3 of 4: Click "Edit Policies"

Step 4: Select "Relax IP Restriction" and click the save button.

Now your users can use the CloudAnswers RepotSender app even if their profiles are IP-restricted.
