Report Sender v3.39 October 2026

Release Schedule

What's New

Dynamic Dashboard Filters

Premium Edition

Dynamic filtered sends — one report, uniquely filtered per recipient — now work with dashboards too. Set up a dashboard schedule the same way you set up a filtered report schedule, and Report Sender automatically applies a different dashboard filter for each recipient.

A few things to know given how Salesforce dashboard filters work under the hood:

Up to the first 3 filters on a dashboard can be used in a dynamic send (Salesforce's Dashboard API only exposes 3 filter slots, even though a dashboard can have up to 5).

Each filter value must match one of the dashboard's own predefined filter options (unlike report filters, which accept any value). So values are capped at the 50 options Salesforce allows per dashboard filter.

Branded Secure File Sharing Pages

Premium Edition

Secure File Sharing lets recipients download a report through a verified link instead of an email attachment. The page recipients land on can now be branded to match your company:

  • Background image and background color

  • Company logo

  • Font color

  • Custom header and body text (or hide the body text entirely)

Configure it once from the new Secure File Sharing page under Settings, and it applies to every secure file delivery going forward.

Add Hyperlinks to Reports

Plus and Premium Editions

Reports sent through Report Sender can now include the same clickable record links they have inside Salesforce. Turn on Add hyperlinks to records on any schedule, and any column that links to a record in the report stays linked in the file you send. Clicking a link opens the record directly in Salesforce.

Supported for Details Only (Email Body, CSV, XLS, XLSX) and Formatted (Email Body, XLSX) deliveries.

Faster Bulk Actions on Schedules

All Editions

Two additions to the Bulk Update menu on the Schedules list:

  • Send Now — select any number of schedules and resend them all at once. A confirmation shows live status (Sent / Failed / Skipped / In Progress) for each one as it processes, and an accurate summary when it's done.

  • Select All — a Select All checkbox grabs everything on the current page, with an option to extend the selection to every schedule matching your current search or filter, even across multiple pages.

Custom CSV Delimiters

All Editions

CSV schedules can now use semicolon, tab, pipe, space, or any custom character as the delimiter, instead of only a comma — useful for locales or downstream tools that expect something else. Comma remains the default.

Note: custom delimiters require your org to be on Report Sender's reporting-API export path. If you're still on the legacy direct-export path, you'll see a message asking you to contact support to switch over. Orgs are only on the legacy path if they've requested an extension to step-up authentication from Salesforce and requested to stay on the legacy endpoints.

More Reliable Scheduled Exports

All Editions

A batch of reliability fixes are in this release:

  • Long text fields on a related object (for example, Case Notes on a Case report) are no longer truncated to 255 characters.

  • Dashboard images no longer arrive with blank or half-rendered charts.

  • Dashboard exports no longer fail intermittently when the export menu takes a moment to open.

  • Intermittent "502" export failures are significantly less common.

  • The background connection Report Sender uses to talk to Salesforce no longer needs periodic re-approval.

Other Fixes and Improvements

Filtered & Dynamic Sends

  • Added: the Add Recipient modal now shows a Preview button, so you can send a one-off test to a recipient as soon as you add them, without waiting to save the schedule.

  • Fixed: the filter operator shown when adding a dynamically filtered recipient now reflects the report's actual operator (e.g., "contains," "starts with") instead of always showing "=".

  • Fixed: the Profile field can now be used as a dynamic filter field.

  • Fixed: toggling "Filter report dynamically" off and back on could leave stale recipients mixed in with newly added ones.

Exports & Report Formatting

  • Fixed: CSV exports of a summary report with "hide details" enabled exported headers only, with no data rows.

  • Fixed: Percent fields exported with one fewer decimal place than configured on the field in Salesforce.

  • Fixed: multi-line address fields like Mailing Street displayed literal <br> tags instead of line breaks in XLS and Email Body exports.

  • Fixed: a sort arrow in Formatted Email Body reports occasionally rendered as "?" instead of the arrow glyph.
