Merge fields for filtered recipients (Premium): dynamically filtered schedules now support merge fields in the email subject and body, personalized per recipient. When your recipient is a person (User, Lead, Contact, or Person Account), merge fields pull from that person's record; when your recipient is a different object (Account, Opportunity, or a custom object), merge fields pull from the related record instead. If you add a merge field that won't resolve for the selected recipient type, Report Sender now warns you before you send.

Create a template from the schedule editor: A new button takes you straight to the new email template screen, speeding up email template creation.

Refreshed template previews: the email template preview now reflects your latest changes instead of showing stale content. Helpful when you're making quick changes to your email templates.

Admins can change the retention period from Settings.

This retention period applies to files generated by scheduled sends. It does not apply to Send Now or Preview.

If a cleanup run fails, the error is included in your Report Sender Error Report email.

If you use secure file sharing, this retention period affects how long people can download the file. Otherwise, the retention period is for debugging only.

Transient errors now use your schedule's full configured retry count, instead of stopping early after a single immediate retry.

If all retries are exhausted, you'll see a clearer, plain-language error message instead of a raw connection error.

Fixed: A raw SOQL exception was thrown when a field used in a filtered send's filter logic was deleted.

Added: A cap of 500 dynamic recipients per filtered schedule, with a clear message when the limit is reached. This was already a Salesforce limit; we just added clear messaging.

Fixed: A filtered schedule with more than 200 dynamically filtered recipients could fail to load.

Fixed: Preview Send on a schedule showed the default template's subject and a blank body, even though Send Now worked correctly.

Added: Logs and failure emails for multi-file sends now identify which specific report or dashboard had the issue.

Fixed: Sending another user's multiple-file schedule could fail.

Fixed: An internal flag could get stuck after using Preview, causing a multi-file attachment to be silently skipped from the next scheduled send.

Fixed: A navigation timeout error (120000 ms exceeded) on some report exports.

Fixed: Rich Text Area field values showed raw HTML tags in CSV, XLS, and email body exports.

Fixed: Custom currency fields sometimes showed blank in exported reports.

Fixed: Record IDs were returned in 18-character format instead of the expected 15-character format in some exports.

Fixed: Text field values containing angle brackets (e.g., <GmbH>) were silently truncated in XLS exports and emailed reports.

Fixed: A Salesforce "undefined filter" (400) error could occur when exporting certain reports.

Added: A message on the Manage Users page clarifying that new users complete authorization automatically the first time they use Report Sender.

Fixed: Free/trial users with values already set in the safe list or block list couldn't clear them from the Settings tab.

Added: Recently viewed reports now show up in the Report Name field as soon as you click into it.
