Clone Schedules

Have you set up such a perfect report schedule that other people just want to copy you? Or perhaps you need to send something similar to several people but want to customize the email or report for each one. Well, now that's much easier because you can clone report schedules!

Cloning is easy! Check it out:

Cloning Tip: When cloning someone else's schedule, your user will become the Scheduled As user, meaning the reports will show based on what your user can see in Salesforce.

If you are an administrator and want to clone schedules for other users you can log in as a user that has already authenticated to Report Sender and clone schedules, or clone the schedules as yourself and then change the OwnerID through another tool such as Data Loader.

Bug Fixes

We also squashed some bugs:

  • Fixed padding on the form when editing report schedules.

  • Made our error emails easier to read and updated error messages that had caused confusion.

  • Improved error handling for common configuration problems.

    • Handled the scenario where the running user can't update report schedules.

    • Fixed the error message when attempting to send joined reports in the Free version.

    • Better error when the report has been deleted.

    • Fixed the links in Report Sender when you change permissions on the Report Schedule object.

  • Now we don't create empty log files if Salesforce throws an unhandled exception.
