Updated User Interface

We have added some quality-of-life updates to the UI. There's another New Schedule button at the top of the list to save you some scrolling. Report Sender now tells you what version you're on, so you don't have to check the billing portal to know. The Help button allows you to quickly access the knowledge base, view release notes, manage billing, and get support.

Bulk Actions on My Schedules tab

We have added the ability to change the status of your Report Schedules en masse. Now, you can select up to 100 at a time and activate, deactivate, or change the schedule as a user.

Updates to Scheduling Reports for Other Users

When creating a report, you can set the Scheduled As to another user. A common issue is that the user is not properly configured in Report Sender, so the schedule fails. With this release, we've added appropriate error handling to prevent you from assigning a schedule to another user if they do not have access to report schedules or have not approved API access for Report Sender.

Better Error Message Handling

We know nobody wants to read or have to fix errors, but sometimes the app needs your help. So, we've cleaned up our error handling to make it easier for you.

  • First, when saving a report schedule, we'll summarize any field errors so you don't have to scroll through the fields to find them.

  • Second, if you try to reassign a report to someone who doesn't have permission to Report Sender or hasn't authorized the app to download reports, you'll get an error with details.

  • Third, we've cleaned up our error message formatting in the "View Logs" modal.

  • Lastly, we've improved our error handling when we can't access the reporting API, making it easier for you to fix.

Bug Fixes

We've also been busy squashing bugs. Here are the latest fixes:

  • Fixed an issue with dynamic filters where filter logic was being ignored.

  • Fixed an issue with recipients when switching from a report that was being dynamically filtered and back.

  • Removed hardcoded limit of 100 scheduled jobs to support orgs that have asked Salesforce to increase their scheduled job limit.

  • Change it so that previewing a report does not save your changes if you preview it and then cancel it.

  • File encoding no longer switches back to UTF-8 when editing a schedule.

  • Reports with dynamic filters and filter logic now retain filter logic.
